Let the Good Lines Roll

Creating Promotional social media posts doesn’t have to take hours. In this game - called a “genius new way to make social media content” by the Marketing Made Simple podcast - you’ll learn how to create posts in minutes so you can get more subscribers and buyers.

Watch the video below, or follow the step by step instructions on how to turn making social media posts into a game!

Step 1.

Create talking points.

Print and fill in the Numbered BrandScript for whatever you are promoting.

Wait, what’s a BrandScript?

Just like how an actor has lines in a script to know what to say in a show, a company has lines in a BrandScript to know what to say in their marketing. This video walks you through each part of the BrandScript.

Once you have your lines written and added to your Numbered BrandScript, head on to Step 2!

Step 2.

Roll and Flip!

Roll two ten-sided dice to determine which lines you’ll use for the main part of the post.

Flip a coin to determine your call to action (marked on the Numbered BrandScript as H or T for Heads or Tails.)

See it in Action

Need another walk though? Here you go!

Step 3.

Create the copy.

Take the two lines you rolled and the call to action you flipped and write the caption for your post. Here are some examples based on this mock BrandScript for a BBQ joint.

Everyone in Nashville needs BBQ they can count on. To get yours you just have to show up, get your food, and ask for more napkins. Sign up to get our text messages and we’ll give you a free slice of dump cake.

It seems like everything is always changing. But when you come here, you can go from trying to keep up to keeping it classic. Come on in today!
— 2 + 10 + Heads
Is there anything worse than craving a meal and then finding out they took it off the menu? Our menu hasn’t changed much in 40 years. Come on in today.

Step 4.

Add the visuals.

Add a picture, video, or link for each post.

To keep it simple we used all still shots. But you can create live videos, short form videos, whatever is popular right now, or whatever works best for your work flow.

Step 5.

Schedule!

Create at least 3-5 posts for whatever it is you’re promoting. Then loam them into your favorite scheduler!

How’d it go?

Would love to hear the how this process has worked for you!
